ABOUT THE DESIGN

ABOUT THE KIT

Created in 1944 to help train "Komet" pilots, the Me163  S-1 "Habicht" was a engine-less glider adapted from the rocket-plane's "B" version.  With its volatile power plant removed, the aircraft had room to accommodate both the student (forward) and flight instructor (rear).  And it wouldn't explode if improperly landed.

This highly detailed 1/48 "Master Series" kit contained numerous photo-etched metal parts as well as super-detailed injected molded pieces.

This model was built from an original issue.
