| In the early 21st Century, aircraft designs became more radical and imaginative than ever before. Military aircraft in particular tended toward the weird and exotic, with defense planners having a particular penchant for unmanned drones and fighters that could be operated from half a world away. As in the 1990s, major model manufacturers tended to ignore these designs, leaving modelers to turn to garage kit companies to fill the void. |
