ABOUT THE DESIGN

ABOUT THE KIT

In 2007, Fantastic Plastic Models staged its first "Starship Design" contest, inviting Fantastic Plastic Fans to submit original designs for futuristic starfighters that could be reproduced as 1:72 scale models.  Of the nearly 200 entries received, five were selected as finalists and visitors were asked to vote for their favorite.  The clear winner was this "V-47 Warlock" design by Vic Rinaldi.  It depicts a one-man fighter capable of  both atmospheric and deep-space combat operations.

The V-47 Warlock was the first original design to be kitted by Fantastic Plastic Models.  Based on Vic Rinaldi's prize-winning design, it was patterned by Scott Spicer and cast by BLAP! Models.
