| In addition to 21st Century re-interpretations of vehicles from the original 1970s-era ABC-TV series, the Sci-Fi Channel's new "Battlestar Galactica" introduced several all-new spacecraft designs to the franchise. One of these was the "Raptor," a multi-purpose workhorse used primarily for reconnaissance and small-scale transport missions. Far more angular and ungainly than the Battlestar's sleek "Viper" fighters, the "Raptor" had a clunky, utilitarian charm all its own. |
