ABOUT THE DESIGN

ABOUT THE KIT

Continuing the tradition that began in "The Phantom Menace" of equipping the Trade Federation Separatists with robotic fighting machines,  this nasty little fighter was completely droid-driven.  Worse yet, it was equipped with missile-launched "buzz-droids," parasitic robots that attached themselves to enemy vessels and proceeded to tear them apart much like the old "Twilight Zone's" airline-wrecking gremlins.

The Droid Tri-Fighter appeared only briefly in "Revenge of the Sith" in the spectacular Battle Over Courscant sequence that opened the film.

This pre-painted "snap" kit was released by Revell of Germany in late April 2005, but has been unavailable in the United States where AMT/Ertl has the lone license for "Star Wars" model kits.  The kit is one of six that Revell released in Europe in conjunction with "Revenge of the Sith."  The model has been given an enamel "wash" to bring out the details.

This model was built from an original issue.
