ABOUT THE DESIGN

ABOUT THE KIT

The H.R. Giger-inspired biomechanical theme of the Joel Schumacher "Batman" vehicles continued with this jet-powered cigarette boat.  Used to assault The Riddler's floating fortress, the boat resembled a traditional speedboat more than the Batmobile looked like a conventional car -- or the Batwing looked like a viable airplane.  But its organic ribbing, exposed innards and distinctive "batfin" put the vehicle squarely within the realm of Schumacher's psycho-sexual comic book fantasy world.

The Batboat was just one of a full series of Batman vehicles that Revell/Monogram released in conjunction with both "Batman Forever" and "Batman & Robin." All featured glossy black exteriors with plenty of internal and external chrome.

This model was built from an original 1995 issue.
