NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:
Currently, the USPS minimum for shipping international orders is $24.00-28.00 (depending on destination) for packages weighting up to two pounds (0.9 kg). However, Paypal notoriously undercharges when computing postage costs. If you are buying from overseas, you may be undercharged by Paypal, in which case I will send you a separate Money Request for the difference. Sorry for any inconvenience.

About the Design
Based on the A4 Skyhawk, the 640 was Douglas Aircraft's proposal for a jet fighter that could be launched by specially-equipped submarines. The plane would be sent airborne via catapult. Having no landing gear, it would either have to land on solid ground via a skid or perhaps be recovered following a water landing. The plan never got beyond the design stage. |
