| This was another entry of Messerschmitt's P.1079 ramjet fighter project. A single-seat fighter to be powered by an internal ramjet engine, the P.1079/51 would have been launched via a rocket-powered trolly. To minimize the plane's weight, no landing gear were provided. Once its mission was complete, the P.1079/51 would have landed via skid. |
