Here's my finished Samson.  I painted and positioned it as Trudy's chopper just before the final battle and, yes, the blue and white stripes are supposed to be irregular.  I added extra decals (warning under tail, name on cockpit side and step pads on stub wings.  The cockpit canopy was a bear to fit.
