2010s

The new decade began with Science Fiction modeling in full swing. Barely a week could go by without a new styrene or resin sci-fi model kit being released by the scores of styrene and resin companies producing kits in the United States, Europe and Japan. New CAD and 3D printing technology was allowing garage-kit makers to produce affordable products of near-styrene quality. And the seemingly never-ending stream of sci-fi-themed TV shows and motion pictures flooding the marketplace provided plenty of fodder for kit makers.

One could argue that Science Fiction modeling was in its Second Golden Age.
