| Although the first three decades of the 20th Century were the proverbial "Golden Age of Flight," virtually all of the aircraft designs kitted from this period were of actual planes and prototypes, not concepts. In fact, it's only been in the last few years that a handful of garage kit companies -- mostly from Eastern Europe -- have even dared to produce models of first generation "project" aircraft..
