1980s
| The 1980s were Prime Time for oddball modeling thanks to the massive influx of original sci-fi kits from Japan. Leading the charge were Nitto's SF3D kits by Japanese designer Kow Yokoyama. Battlesuits and bizarre fighting vehicles were produced by the score by other Japanese companies as well during this decade. |
